Reno Tahoe Comedy presents laughter at the Pioneer Underground located on 100 South Virginia, St. in Reno, NV. Reno Tahoe Comedy offers a full bar and no drink minimum. Suggested age: 16 and over with parental guidance. We have two shows on Saturday September 10th; the first is at 8:00pm and the second is an R-Rated performance that begins at 10:00pm.

Your headliner for both shows is comedic legend, Tony D’Andrea. Tony’s act is a whirlwind tour of thoughts and impressions with stops at platforms even D'Andrea doesn't realize are on the itinerary. He's from the old school where material comes from creativity and talent, not requiring shock value to sustain it. And while, the jokes, skits and gags can come at you from all angles, they can also be delivered subtly. Borrowing from masters like Jack Benny, D'Andrea can, when he feels it's needed, make people laugh without saying a word. Impressions mixed with stand-up. It's a formula that has gained favor with comedy fans for they get a lot of bang for their buck. When you go to see D'Andrea, you also get Nicholson, Pesci, and a whole lot more.

Tony D'Andrea
Your host for the 8:00pm show is comedian Danwise. Danwise was a high school theater dork who recently decided to re-awaken his inner actor by taking improv classes. His comedic style uses heavy doses of sarcasm and can always find the absurd in every day life. As a Reno native, Danwise likes to poke fun at his town and those around him, his girlfriend and family. A local favorite on the stand up circuit, he is easy to find most nights at open mic's in downtown Reno. Danwise enjoys nothing more than entertaining an audience on stage.

Danwise
Carla Rea will be the performing in the guest spot for both shows. An accomplished comedian with over 20 years of comedy club, TV, and radio experience, (Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Evening at the Improv, Showtime and Comedy Central) Carla is sure to keep you laughing!

You host for the 10:00pm performance is comedian Wayne Walsh. Wayne is a fast-paced comic whose clever material pushes the limits of edgy.  His style is shockingly funny and thought-provoking in that “did he really say that?” kind of way.  Wayne’s commanding stage presence keeps him one of Northern Nevada’s favorite local comics and a highlight of tours across the western United States.  Experiences growing up in rural towns, serving time in the Air Force, and living in the Biggest Little City in the World allow Wayne to connect with people of all backgrounds.

Keep Reno Beautiful - DONATE NOW!

Riverwalk Beautification Program : Keep Reno Beautiful - DONATE NOW!
http://www.renoriver.org/beautification.html

WHAT IS THE BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAM?
The Riverwalk Merchants Association, a non-profit coalition of 40+ energetic business owners located along the Riverwalk in Downtown Reno raises money to donate to the beautification and rehabilitation of downtown Reno. The (RWMA) has developed the Beautification program with the goal that funds can be raised that would allow the association to complete the maintenance and rehabilitation of our most valuable neighborhood, by removing the overgrown weeds, re-landscape the neglected medians, oversee maintenance of the parks and streets, install public art, support public events and continue our goal to promote Downtown Reno as a cultural, safe, and family-friendly area.

Every dollar raised will help establish a safer and cleaner area downtown by improving signage, repairing damaged artwork, generating cleaning programs and proposing new landscaping concepts. Anyone can donate funds and all donations can be made through the website or mailed directly to the Association.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP?
The Riverwalk Merchants Association needs help from every member of our community. By donating to our beautification program you are able to become a part of our goals to rehabilitate poorly landscaped and blighted areas of the Riverwalk Corridor. Funding allows our association to replace broken or damaged signage, increase police awareness, sponsor public events, clean-up neglected areas, develop recycling programs and help with the installation of public art.

RECOVER THE RIVERWALK!
Beautification improvements are fundamental elements that contribute to the quality of life, vitality of downtown shopping, economy and entertainment for locals and visitors. Our organization is committed to keeping downtown Reno a great place to do business, enjoy life, raise a family, entertain, and appreciate the arts and culture of Nevada.

Our organization sponsors a variety of monthly events and provides donations to various local charities and other non-profit organizations focused on art, theater, health, animals and families. We continually work with the City of Reno and Reno Redevelopment to improve downtown parking, landscaping, crime reduction, special events, and other related projects. We are affiliated with the Downtown Improvement Association, West Street Market, and other organizations which work to make a small business profitable and pleasurable.
Your support is greatly appreciated in making Reno a wonderful place to live, work and play!

Riverwalk Businesses Raise Funds to Rehabilitate Downtown Reno

Within the past year the Reno Riverwalk Merchants Association  a coalition of 40+ businesses located along the Riverwalk in Downtown Reno has actively participated in the beautification of downtown Reno.  With the lack of funding from city organization the business owners have combined their efforts to keep downtown beautiful.

The (RWMA) has already donated to the beautification of downtown Reno by replacing 116 brightly colored identifying flags at a cost of $3,489.00, and provided the remaining funds needed to replant the Wingfield park flower baskets at the cost of $4,800.00. The (RWMA) recently applied for a grant that if awarded would enable them to complete their goal of removing the overgrown and neglected vegetable garden on West St., re-landscape the median, oversee maintenance, install public art and continue their goal to promote Downtown Reno as a cultural, historical, safe, and family-friendly area.

In the coming months the (RWMA) will be launching a new campaign that will help raise funding for the City of Reno. The funds raised will help establish a safer and cleaner area downtown by improving signage, repairing damaged artwork, generating cleaning programs and  proposing new landscaping concepts. Anyone can donate funds and all donations can be made through the website at http://www.renoriver.org.
